0. General Contest information. The MagiC Game Contest '99 is the first annual Atari competition held in conjunction with two of the largest Atari information sites. MagiC Online [http://bengy.atari.org] owned by Bengy Collins (collins@bulli.com) and The Place 2 be [http://place2be.de] owned by Jan Daldrup (jan@place2be.de) The goal of this contest was to create a GEM conversion of a classic game. In the end, there were 10 entries. (Though one entrant was disqualified for premature release of entry) This contest could not have been possible without the support of its generous sponsors. Infos. Fill out your real name, and Email address below. This is to avoid doublevotes. Your votes and comments will not be shown to the public. Name: Email: 2. Rules. * Each person can vote only once. * The contestants are allowed to vote; contestants are allowed to vote for themselves. * A valid votesheet should have all games rated. The exception is if a game does not work on your system. If this is the case, say so in the [comment] section. (Make sure to include your setup) * Rate each game from 1 to 10 points, where 10 points is the highest (best game) and 1 point is the lowest (game needs improvement) * The game with the most points after all the votes are tallied will win. The game with the second most points will be awarded second place, and so forth. * The [comments] section has no impact on the final outcome of the contest. They are 100% optional and are only there to encourage feedback with the author. Your comments will not be made public. They will be collected and sent back to the author at the end of the contest. (Important note: We have introduced a "penalty" system for games which were not completed on time for the deadline. The deadline was December 5th, 1999. Unfortunately, 1 game, MagiC Land, needed a short extension in order to finish. In order to be fair to the other Programmers, for each day late pipemania is, 1 point will be subtracted from that games total points.
